POLICY
The
Morrison and Mary Wiley Library has established the following schedule of fines
for overdue materials

OVERDUE MATERIALS
Books, Audio Books, Magazines and CD-ROMs: When the item
is two weeks overdue a notice is sent out and a fine of $.50 is charged. If the item has not been returned one month later
another notice is sent and the fine is raised to $1.00. This monthly process continues until the fine
has reached $2.00 and the book is four months overdue. If the book is not returned within two weeks
of this fourth notice then a letter is sent with the cost of a replacement book
included.
Videos: A fine of $1.00 per day per video is
charged. A maximum fine of $5.00 is
charged for overdue videos. A reminder
phone call is made to patrons if a video is not returned at opening the day
after the video was due. If videos have
not been returned three days after the due date another phone call is
made. If videos are not returned within
a week of the due date then a letter is sent to the patron with the cost of a
replacement video listed. If a patron
has not given the library a valid phone number then a reminder phone call can
not be made.
LENGTH
OF LOANS
Books, Audio Books, Magazines and CD-ROMs: These
items are on loan for two weeks. Items
may be renewed for an additional two weeks by phone or in person.
Videos: Videos are on loan for one week. Videos may be renewed for an additional week by phone or in person.
