MORRISON AND MARY WILEY LIBRARY VIDEO/DVD POLICY

8/07/05

Videos and DVDs that are PG-13, PG-17 or R rated will be considered adult videos and kept in the adult video section at the library.  Children must be 13 years of age to borrow a PG-13 release, 17 to borrow a PG-17 release and only adults over the age of 18 will be able to borrow R rated releases.  Children under the age of 13 will only be able to borrow PG-13 or PG-17 releases if the library has a note of permission from their parent.  Youth between the ages of 13-17 will be able to check out the PG-13 videos, but will still need written permission from a parent to check out R rated videos.  There are a few videos that are not rated in the adult section.  Children will be able to check these videos out, if the video seems age appropriate to the librarian on duty.  It is the policy of the library that each family or household can have three videos or DVDs at a time.
